The United States won 4-2 to secure top spot. It was a weird format, so Israel beat Mexico 12-5 in the battle of third-place teams to eliminate Mexico. South Korea beat the Dominican Republic 4-3. Japan beat the United States 7-6 to set up the semi-final. Israel were eliminated with an 11-1 loss to South Korea. The United States eliminated the Dominican Republic with a 3-1 victory. Japan made the final with a 5-2 win over South Korea. South Korea then lost 7-2 to the United States, enabling a rematch of the original semi-final in the final. South Korea took an early lead in the bronze medal match but succumbed 10-6. Japan once again beat the United States, this time a tight 2-0 victory.
