B-Boys
Victor (United States) is highly regarded as one of the best breakers of all time. He enters the competition as reigning world champion and has won two of the last three world titles. In 2022 he also won the World Games and Red Bull BC One. In the two World Championship finals he beat Phil Wizard (Canada) whilst he was the victor of the 2022 edition. Runner up in 2022 and bronze medalist was in were was Shigekix (Japan). Dany Dann (France) has not medalled in global competitions but has dominated in Europe, winning the 2022 European Championship and 2023 European Games. The runner-up at the 2023 European Games was Menno (Netherlands). He was the 2019 world champion and won at Red Bull BC One in 2019 but does have a unique style that judges can love or hate. Amir (Kazakhstan) won the Red Bull BC One in 2021 and was a bronze medalist at the 2021 World Championship. Jeffro (United States) was runner-up at the 2022 World Games and 2023 Pan-American Games. Lee (Netherlands) has performed well mainly at Red Bull BC One, finishing second in 2022 after making the semi-finals in 2021. Hong 10 (South Korea) is a three-time Red Bull winner, over three separate decades. Kuzya (Ukraine) was a fourth-place finisher at the 2022 World Championship. Lagaet (France) finished sixth back in 2019. Other competitors include Billy (Morocco), Hiro10 (Japan), J Attack (Australia) who is only 16, Lithe-ing (China) and Quake (Taiwan).
Hong10 would be the victory that really highlights the history of this event. Amir, Lee, Phil Wizard, Shigekix and Victor are the other big contenders whilst Menno feels like a gold or bust kind of athlete. It is hard to see Phil Wizard or Victor off the podium given how consistent they have been in major championships over recent years. Of the rest, I think Shigekix would be the breaker I edge to.

B-Girls
Nicka (Lithuania) caused an upset when becoming world champion at the age of 16 in 2023. India (Netherlands) will only be 18 in Paris and has also made an impact despite her young age. She won the Red Bull BC One in 2022 and has also won the European Games and European Championship in recent years. 671 (China) was a World Championship silver medallist in 2022 and was also second in the Red Bull BC One in 2023. The bronze medalist in the 2023 World Championship was Syssy (France). Compatriot Senorita Carlota (France) is another who has been competitive without medalling in championships. Another former World Championship medalist is Sunny (United States). She won silver in 2019 and also in the 2022 World Games. Ami (Japan) won there and she is a double world champion, most recently winning in 2021. She finished second in 2021 and is also a double winner of the Red Bull BC One, including in 2023. Logistx (United States) was the winner in 2021 before taking silver in 2022. Ayumi (Japan) was last on the podium in 2019 when taking silver. Despite only taking up the sport at 21 she has finished on all podium places in the World Championships, winning in 2021. Kate (Ukraine) finished fourth in 2023, whilst Yingzi (China) came fourth in 2019. Anti (Italy) was fourth in 2021 and had a silver from the 2022 European Championship. Stefani (Ukraine) was the silver medalist at the 2023 European Games. Vanessa (Portugal) won bronze in 2022. The field is rounded out by Elmamouny (Morocco), Raygun (Australia) and Talash (Refugee).
I think this looks more competitive than the men’s competition. Japan have two of the stronger participants and although I prefer Ami, Ayumi is definite a threat for the podium. Syssy in her home country is good enough that any favourable judging could get her onto the podium. Both Americans are strong and I’d edge to Sunny but don’t see either getting to the podium. India and Nicka are both young Europeans but I think India has a more consistent resume which makes me edge to her. 671 is the other serious contender.
