Men’s Event
Menno (Netherlands) dominated his group and was the only breaker not to drop a round. Other group winners were Victor (United States), Phil Wizard (Canada) and Jeffro (United States). In the quarter finals, Victor and Phil Wizard advanced with 3-0 wins. Shigekix (Japan) also won 3-0, beating Menno. The closest battle came when Dany Dann (France) edged Jeffro by a signle vote - 14 to 13. Phil Wizard went through cruised into the final with a 3-0 victory whilst Dany Dann scraped through again. His luck would run out in the final as he only won four votes over the whole battle.
🥇Phil Wizard 🇨🇦
🥈Dany Dann 🇫🇷
🥉Victor 🇺🇸

All three of my podium predictions made the final four. Dany Dann was someone I should have given more credit to given his continental performances and home advantage

Breakers showed amazing moves

Women’s Event
The groups were won by India (Netherlands), Nicka (Lithuania), Ami (Japan) and Kate (Ukraine). Ami and Nicka both dominated in the quarter finals, with 3-0 victories. India had to come from behind to win against Ayumi (Japan). 671 (China) was able to take all three rounds against Kate. Ami staged another comeback to beat India in a semi-final. Nicka also won two rounds to one against 671 taking eighteen votes to nine. In the final Ami won three tight rounds, taking sixteen votes. Unfortunately, most people will remember the performance of Raygun (Australia) first and foremost.
🥇Ami 🇯🇵
🥈Nicka 🇱🇹
🥉671 🇨🇳

India was my incorrect podium pick and she came fourth. I also mentioned Nicka in the same category as her, as a young improving European

The breaking brought the crowd to their feet
